Kaye Solutions for Aluminium Furnace
Application at a Glance
Industry standards such as AMS 2750 D and AMS 2770 (Aerospace Material Specifications) define the testing requirements for industrial furnaces used in processing high-quality materials like aluminum. Similar standards in the automotive industry also take into account the requirements for heat treatment processes.
These standards mandate that independent monitoring systems must be used to verify the temperatures measured by the control sensors installed in the facility. In the course of a temperature distribution study, the so-called cold spot and hot spot in the facilities must also be identified.
Thermocouples are the preferred sensors for this purpose. Due to their quick response time and broad temperature range, thermocouples are very often selected for these measurement tasks.
For over 65 years, Kaye has been a global leader in the development and supply of thermocouple reference systems. From the first patented development of the Ice Point Reference in the 1960s to the patented Uniform Temperature References, Kaye leads in providing solutions for critical applications in aerospace and other industrial markets for the accurate measurement of thermocouples.
Kaye Ice-Point References offer an optimal solution for cold junction compensation in thermocouple measurement circuits, especially in industrial applications. From fixed 0 °C Ice Point References, which provide an accuracy of 0.02 °C without long-term drift, to our passive Uniform Temperature References, covering areas with high temperature gradients and vibrations, Kaye has a solution that meets your requirements.
Kaye’s expertise in thermocouple measurement and identification of error sources provides maximum accuracy in terms of automatic referencing.
